GoBoat: Be your own Captain
Experience the freedom of sailing with GoBoat, where you are the captain of your own rented boat. Enjoy a few hours with friends, family or colleagues on the water and see London from a whole new perspective.
Depending on the type of experience you're looking for, we have four unique locations ranging from total beginner to confident newcomer.
GoBoats are electric and cruise along quietly at a leisurely pace of around 4 mph giving you plenty of time to take in the sights.
Each boat has room for up to 8 people and dogs are most welcome too. In the boat you'll find a map to help you get the most out of your trip. We have recommended routes, but you can decide where you go!
Safety is key, so we teach you how to sail - first an online video tutorial via email and then on site when you arrive. Please arrive 15 minutes before departure to maximise your time out on the water.

Located at Merchant Square this route is best suited for confident beginners due to the narrow waterways and oncoming trip boats.
No alcohol is permitted but you can bring your own picnic.
Canary Wharf is a buzzing centre of commerce, leisure and culture. Purchase alcohol from our kiosk. You'll see:
- Harbour Quay Gardens
- Crossrail Place
- Billingsgate Market
- Blackwall Basin
- The O2
Find us at Wood Wharf near Hawksmoor and Dishoom. On foot, follow Bellmouth Promenade East. This route is great for first timers.
Alcohol may be purchased from our kiosk and you can bring your own food.
Located on Riverside Walk, just next to Kingston Bridge. Bring a picnic with you and take a leisurely trip along the Thames in either direction from your starting point. Bring your own alcohol. You'll see:
- Kingston Bridge
- Raven's Ait Island
- Thames Ditton
- Steven's Eyot
- Trowlock Island
Find us at Riverside Walk steps opposite Côte Brasserie. This route is great for first timers and families.
You may bring your own food and a limited amount of alcohol with you.
Find us on Summer Road, in the village of Thames Ditton. Bring a picnic with you and take a leisurely trip along the river in either direction from your starting point. You're in for a picturesque experience. Bring your own alcohol. You'll see:
- Hampton Court Palace
- Thames Ditton Island
- Raven's Ait Island
- Kingston riverside
Find us on Summer Road near Ye Olde Swan pub. This route is great for first timers and families.
You may bring your own food and a limited amount of alcohol with you.
