Planning a day out with GoBoat offers a unique and enjoyable way to explore London’s waterways. But what to do after? Here’s a guide to help make the most of your GoBoat adventure and discover nearby attractions in Kingston, Thames Ditton, Paddington and Canary Wharf.

Kingston upon Thames: A Royal River Adventure

Set sail from Kingston and enjoy the scenic views along the River Thames. The Wide waterways are ideal for beginners, making it the perfect outing for friends and family. Kingston has a lot of different places to visit after your GoBoat attraction, so why not make it a day out in Kingston with these post-boating activities:

  1. Riverside Dining - After your boating adventure, indulge in French cuisine at Côte Brasserie, on the Riverside Walk, offering classics like Steak Frites, an array of Fish and French Sunday Roasts as well as a lovely bottle of Wine in a cozy riverside setting.
  2. Rose Theatre - Catch a performance at this premier arts venue, showcasing a variety of shows suitable for all ages. This summer they are showing The Elmer Adventure for kids and for adults they have lots of different shows and talks such as Chris McCausland’s stand-up comedy show and a tribute to George Michael.
  3. Kingston Market Place - Kingston has been home to a bustling market for centuries with the oldest surfing records dating back to the early 1200's. The Market is still thriving today and located in the centre of Kingston.

Thames Ditton: Serene Sailing in Surrey

Enjoy a tranquil journey through London's picturesque suburbs, exploring the serene waters around Thames Ditton. Thames Ditton is quieter than Kingston so why not enjoy the tranquility and explore what Thames Ditton has to offer:

  1. Hampton Court Palace - Although you can see this en-Route, after your journey in Thames Ditton you can go inside and explore the haunted palace and beautiful Hampton Court Gardens with your friends and family. A short 20 minute walk across the bridge, take a look inside this historic Tudor Palace that offers a glimpse into royal history with its stunning architecture and gardens.
  2. Ye Old Swan - Right Next to our Thames Ditton site is a charming riverside pub known for its historic character, scenic views and relaxed atmosphere. This traditional pub offers a picturesque outdoor seating area, perfect for enjoying a drink or meal whilst watching the boats drift by; a perfect way to keep the relaxation going after your GoBoat adventure.
  3. Bushy Park - One of London's Royal Parks, home to free-roaming deer, beautiful gardens and quiet woodland trails. Perfect for a post GoBoat casual stroll. As well, they have a huge playground for your kids to run around in!
