If you've never heard of Thames Ditton before you might be surprised to know that it's very easy to get there on the train from London. Hop on a mainline rail service from London Waterloo and you'll arrive in this leafy Surrey village in just over half an hour. Here are just a few reasons why you should consider paying a visit to Thames Ditton.

Thames Ditton's crowning glory is its stunning natural scenery. The village is situated on the banks of the River Thames, which provides a picturesque backdrop to the village. It's hard to believe that such an idyllic setting is in such easy reach of London. The Thames Ditton Farmer's Market has been running for over 7 years and takes place on the fourth Sunday of every month. Here you'll find a whole variety of stalls from food and drink to crafts and activities for children.

Thames Ditton is conveniently located just a short distance from London, making it an ideal destination for a day trip or weekend getaway. The village is easily accessible by public transport or car, and there are plenty of accommodation options nearby if you decide to stay overnight.

Trains from Waterloo stop at Thames Ditton regularly and the station is a 10 minute walk from GoBoat. If arriving by car, we recommend parking in Ashley Road car park which is just a 7 minute walk from GoBoat.

While you're in Thames Ditton, you may want to explore other nearby towns and villages such as Kingston, Esher and Molesey.
